Allegheny Outdoor Club

Following is a bicycle-only schedule. All rides take place on Thursday evenings, starting at 5:30 p.m. The leader for these rides is Pat Spicer, 814-757-8331.

 

July. 3        Meet near the Russell post office. Ride to Valentine Run, Peterson Hollow and return on Valentine Run.

 

July 10        Meet at the Jamestown Audubon Society Nature Center (JAS). Shuttle car to Russell post office. Drive to Blueberry Hill/Robin Hill Road. Bike on Robin Hill Road, Scandia Road, and Fox Hill Road, returning to Russell.

 

July 17        Meet in Frewsburg across from Quality Market and ride surrounding roads.

 

July 24        Meet near the Russell post office. Leave some cars and drive remaining cars and bikes to the Blueberry Golf Course area. Park cars on Robin Hill Road and ride bikes to Scandia Road, then to Scandia Road to the Hatch Patch and return to Russell via the Big Four Road.

 

July 31        Meet at JAS. Ride to Akeley. Stop at the FoxMart for ice cream. Ride back through the Akeley Wetlands and return to JAS.

 

Aug. 7        Meet in Frewsburg across from Quality Market. Drive to the Erlandson Overlook. Ride bikes from Oak Hill to Frew Run, to Onoville and stop for ice cream. Return to Frewsburg via Bone Run Road.

 

Aug. 14        Meet at JAS. Ride Riverside Road to Pine Ridge and to Busti for ice cream. Return to JAS.

 

Aug. 28        Meet near the Russell post office. Ride the Big Four Road to Warren and pick up the Warren Hike/Bike Path. Return to Russell via the Big Four     

 

Sept. 4       Meet in Frewsburg across from Quality Market and ride surrounding roads.

 

Sept. 11    Meet at JAS and ride surrounding roads.

 

Sept. 18    Meet near the Russell post office and ride surrounding roads.
